Daly College of Business Management (DCBM), Indore successfully organized a six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Embedding Indian Knowledge Systems in Higher Education: Content Development and Academic Innovation in the Context of NEP 2020”, from 01–06 August 2026.
Organized in association with the Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh, DAVV, and Young Thinkers Forum, the FDP brought together 100+ faculty members and educators from various institutions.
The programme was graced by distinguished dignitaries and experts, including Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Hon’ble Education Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh; Shri Chetanya Kashyap, Hon’ble Minister, MSME, Government of Madhya Pradesh;HH Maharaja Vikram Sinh Puar of Dewas, President, Board of Governors, DC Society; Shri J. Nandakumar, National Convenor, Prajna Pravah; Prof. Ganti Suryanarayana Murthy, National Coordinator, IKS Division, Ministry of Education / IIT Indore; Dr. Satish Modh, Vice Chancellor, VIT Bhopal; Shri Ram Kalyan Meduri, IIT Hyderabad; Dr. Prajwal Khare, Registrar, DAVV; Dr. Kiranbala Saluja, Higher Education; and Dr. Sachin Sharma, Director, DCDC, DAVV.
The FDP featured insightful sessions on Indian Knowledge Systems, NEP 2020, academic innovation, research, content development, and contemporary applications of traditional Indian knowledge. Participants also visited the historic Bhojshala, Dhar, exploring India’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage.
A major milestone of the programme was the launch of the DCBM IKS Centre of Excellence, reaffirming DCBM’s commitment to preserving, promoting, and integrating Indian Knowledge Systems into contemporary higher education.
The six-day programme concluded with an inspiring valedictory session and distribution of participation certificates, marking a significant step towards bridging India’s timeless wisdom with modern pedagogy and academic innovation.
