Dr. Sonal Sisodia is an Associate Professor in the area of Marketing and Business Communication.

With more than 15 years of experience in mentoring graduate and postgraduate students, engaging in quality research, conducting MDPs and handling consultancy assignments, her personality manifests solidity and experience along with innovation and versatility. An energetic, experienced and inventive teacher with a proven ability to get the very best out of pupils, she demonstrates and encourages high standards of professionalism.

Educational qualification:
  • MBA with Marketing specialization from Faculty of Management Studies, Ajmer in 1998
  • PhD awarded in Services Marketing in 2010 from Faculty of Management Studies, Ajmer
  • UGCNET (Management) cleared in 2000
  • PGDHRM from IGNOU, New Delhi
  • Graduation from Sophia Girls College, Ajmer
Area of interest:

She has a panache for an interesting mix of subjects and areas that include Marketing Management, Services Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Consumer Behaviour, International Marketing, Retail Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Communication skills, Business Policy and Strategic Marketing, Personality enhancement sessions among others.

Research and publication:
  • Published and presented more than thirty papers and case studies in refereed journals (ICHRIE Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Cases, Journal of Services Research, Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies, The Journal of SEAANZ), International and National Journals in the area of services marketing, entrepreneurship, etc.
  • Attended short term UGC HRDC programmes on Research Methodology at EDI, Ahmedabad, Case Study Development at CESBM, Ajmer, and DAVV, Indore.
Awards and recognition:
  1. Case Study awarded the First Position in Emerald Emerging Market Case StudiesProposal Competition 2011 (an international event).
  2. Won eleven best research paper awards at various International and National Conferences including the Manu Bhai Shah Research Gold Medal at the 64th All India Commerce Conference and Best PhD Thesis Award at the International Conference at Prestige Institute of Management and Research.
  3. Felicitated with IIPM Award for ‘Outstanding academic contribution’ in 2012
  4. Awarded Gold medal at postgraduate level (MBA) for securing 1 st position in the University
  5. Certificate of Merit awarded by Govt. of India for attaining position in X Board Examination.
